The educational content in this app is based on publicly available NCTB textbooks. This app serves as a convenient study companion and reader.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Dikkha AI mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and Dikkha AI ("we", "us", or "our").

2. Description of Service

Dikkha AI is an educational mobile application designed to assist Bangladeshi Class 9-10 students with their studies. The App provides:

  • Digital Textbook Reader: Access to NCTB-aligned educational content in Bangla and English
  • AI-Powered Assistance: Explanations, problem-solving help, and educational Q&A
  • Study Tools: AI-generated flashcards for revision
  • Voice Input: Speech-to-text functionality for easier interaction

3. Eligibility

3.1 Age Requirements

  • The App is intended for students aged 13 years and older
  • Users under 18 years of age should use the App under parental or guardian supervision
  • By using the App, you represent that you meet the age requirements

3.2 Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account
  • You must use a valid Bangladeshi phone number for verification

4. User Account

4.1 Account Creation

  • One account per phone number is permitted
  • You are responsible for all activities under your account
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

4.2 Account Information

You agree to provide accurate information including:

  • Your name
  • Phone number
  • Educational grade (Class 9 or 10)
  • Study group (Science, Commerce, Humanities)
  • Education board

4.3 Account Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time through the Profile section
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
  • Upon termination, your data will be deleted as per our Privacy Policy

5. Acceptable Use

5.1 Permitted Uses

You may use the App to:

  • Read and study educational content
  • Ask academic questions related to your curriculum
  • Generate study materials (flashcards) for personal use
  • Access AI assistance for educational purposes

5.2 Prohibited Uses

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Upload harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
  • Use the AI to generate content unrelated to education
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App
  • Use automated systems or bots to access the App
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
  • Use the App to cheat in examinations or violate academic integrity policies
  • Redistribute, sell, or commercially exploit the educational content
  • Harass, abuse, or harm others through the App

5.3 Academic Integrity

  • The App is designed to help you learn, not to do your work for you
  • Use AI explanations to understand concepts, not to copy answers directly
  • You are responsible for adhering to your school's academic integrity policies
  • We encourage ethical use of AI assistance in your studies

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Content

  • The App, including its design, features, and code, is owned by Dikkha AI
  • Educational content is aligned with NCTB curriculum and may include third-party materials used under license
  • All trademarks, logos, and service marks are our property

6.2 User Content

  • You retain ownership of content you create (e.g., chat messages)
  • By using the App, you grant us a license to process your content to provide the service
  • We may use anonymized, aggregated data to improve our services

6.3 Restrictions

  • You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission
  • Screenshots or content from the App should not be used commercially
  • The AI-generated responses are for personal educational use only

7. AI Service Disclaimer

7.1 Nature of AI Responses

  • AI responses are generated by machine learning models and may contain errors
  • AI assistance is meant to supplement, not replace, proper education
  • Always verify important information with your teachers or textbooks

7.2 Limitations

  • The AI may occasionally provide incorrect or incomplete information
  • The AI does not have real-time knowledge of current events
  • Response quality may vary based on the complexity of questions

7.3 Your Responsibility

  • Critically evaluate all AI-generated content
  • Cross-reference important information before relying on it
  • Report any inaccurate or inappropriate AI responses through the App

8. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the App, you consent to our Privacy Policy.

9. Service Availability

9.1 Availability

  • We strive to maintain the App's availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
  • The App requires an internet connection for AI features
  • Some features may be limited during maintenance or technical issues

9.2 Modifications

  • We may modify, update, or discontinue features at any time
  • Significant changes will be communicated through the App
  • Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance

  • We are not responsible for third-party service interruptions

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • Accuracy or reliability of AI-generated content
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • Freedom from viruses or harmful components

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the past 12 months
  • We are not liable for any academic consequences resulting from use or misuse of the App
  • We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI-generated content

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dikkha AI, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your misuse of the App
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Any content you submit through the App

13. Governing Law

13.1 Jurisdiction

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh
  • Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh

13.2 Dispute Resolution

  • We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any issues
  • If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration

14. Changes to Terms

  • We may update these Terms at any time
  • Changes will be posted in the App with the updated date
  • Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance
  • Material changes will be notified through the App
